TRAINING


Members at Hereford E.M.S./Rescue spend many hours in training and staffing the station in Hereford, MD. Top responders devote well in excess of a thousand hours annually. 

Training is usually scheduled for the first and third Wednesdays of each month- generally Rescue on one Wednesday and EMS on the other. All training starts at 1900 hours, unless noted otherwise.

Opportunities for specialized training occur frequently and include special rescue operations with rappelling, medivac helicopter support operations, vehicle extrication, and practice in both basic and advanced life support skills.
